Professional vs. Over-the-Counter Whitening
Over-the-counter whitening products use low concentrations of bleaching agent and generic trays — which is why results are often uneven or disappointing.
Professional whitening uses a higher-strength formulation with custom-fitted trays made specifically for your teeth, resulting in more even, more noticeable, and longer-lasting results.
We offer supervised take-home whitening, which allows you to whiten at your own pace with professional-grade materials and trays fabricated to fit your mouth precisely.
What to Expect
We'll take impressions of your teeth (or take an impression-free scan) to create your custom trays. You'll receive your trays along with your whitening gel and instructions. Most patients achieve their desired result within two to four weeks of regular use.
Is Whitening Safe?
Professional whitening supervised by a dental team is safe for healthy teeth and gums. Some patients experience temporary sensitivity during treatment — we'll discuss how to minimize this before you start.
Who Is a Good Candidate?
Whitening works best on natural tooth enamel. It does not change the colour of crowns, veneers, or composite fillings. If you have restorations in visible areas, we'll discuss this during your consultation.
