At Sidney by the Sea Dental Hygiene Clinic, you can book directly with our hygiene team without switching dentists or getting a referral. We're happy to send notes back to your provider, if you'd like.

With a smaller, two-chair clinic and experienced hygienists, we offer a quieter, more private experience with more time and attention for each patient. Whether it's been six months or a few years since your last cleaning, you'll be met with a calm, judgment-free approach — never rushed, never pressured.

What to Expect at Your Cleaning

Your appointment includes a thorough cleaning of all tooth surfaces and along the gumline, removal of tartar buildup, polishing, a gum health assessment, and personalized home care tips. We focus on keeping your teeth and gums healthy — we don't believe in upselling treatment plans you don't need.

Appointment Length

New patient appointments are scheduled for approximately 90 minutes. Returning patient appointments are scheduled for approximately 70 minutes.

How Often Do I Need a Cleaning?

Most of our patients come in every four months. Your hygienist will talk through what's right for your gum health and history.

Dentist Available, If You Want One

If you'd like a checkup during your visit, Dr. Andrews would be happy to see you — but there's no pressure if you're just here for a cleaning. We're a full-service general dental practice with a strong focus on preventative care.

Direct Billing & CDCP Accepted

We offer direct billing to most insurance providers, including the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP).

Flexible, Short-Notice Appointments

Need to get in quickly? Same-day cleaning appointments are sometimes available — call us to check.

Accessible and Welcoming

Our clinic is fully wheelchair accessible. Patients who prefer to stay in their wheelchair during their appointment are welcome to do so comfortably.
